Plenty of action this weekend with nine races tomorrow on Channel Four from Haydock, York and Newmarket. The feature event is the Sandy Lane Stakes at Haydock where Limato bids to extend his unbeaten record to six wins in a highly competitive Group Two. The usuals are on in Luke Elder, Calum Madell and Adam Webb who take you through the action and also answer viewers questions.
As from this week, we shall post our NAP selections in this blogpiece.
Luke Elder and Calum Madell return after missing last week’s video to cover a mammoth nine races from Haydock, Goodwood and Group action from The Curragh, including the Irish 2000 Guineas, with birthday boy Adam Webb. The feature race in England is the Group Two Temple Stakes over five furlongs at Haydock in which Hot Streak bids to win the race for the second time.
A change this week as Michael Andrews returns to make his debut hosting the show with Adam Webb here as normal as we cover the Channel Four action from Newbury and Newmarket. The feature event of the day is the Al Shaqab Lockinge Stakes with the biggest field in its history of eighteen runners going to post with last year’s 2000 Guineas winner Night Of Thunder bidding for his first success since that occasion. With a certain Kingman off at stud, this looks a golden opportunity to increase his tally of Group One wins.
Luke Elder and Adam Webb covered Saturday’s action with the flat season in full stride and a devilishy tricky 29 runners in the Victoria Cup at 3:45 being the centrepiece of the day to figure out at Ascot. We also covered the Oaks/Derby Trials from Lingfield and jumps action from Haydock where the Pertemps Network Handicap Hurdle, more commonly known as the Swinton is the feature there at 3:25.
Good luck if you are having a bet tomorrow and we might be on for next week’s Dante meeting at York. If not, we shall return next Friday with the feature contest being the Al Shaqab Lockinge Stakes at Newbury.
